Hypebeast has announced five new cards from Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY. The first four feature Cloud alongside different FINAL FANTASY characters. The last card, illustrated by Tetsuya Nomura, shows Sephiroth as Atraxa, Grand Unifier. Wizards of the Coast is set to host its first showcase for Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY at PAX East in a few hours. This expansion was first announced in October and includes characters from 16 FINAL FANTASY games, merging with the Magic universe.
Before the special reveal event, we present an exclusive look at five cards inspired by FINAL FANTASY VII. Four versions of Secret Rendezvous show Cloud on the skywheel at the Gold Saucer amusement park, partnered with Tifa, Yuffie, Aerith, or Barrett.
The first card shown is part of the Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY Through the Ages collection, which reimagines classic Magic cards through the FINAL FANTASY lens. This card features Sephiroth as Atraxa, Grand Unifier and is illustrated by the renowned FINAL FANTASY artist Tetsuya Nomura.





The doors have opened at PAX East, and visitors to the Magic: The Gathering booth were welcomed by artwork and frames of several famous characters from the upcoming MTG—FINAL FANTASY set.
Guild Pack shared the first series of images on Bluesky, giving us a first look.at Lightning, Cloud, Tifa, Squall, and Gilgamesh.





We will have to wait for Saturday’s Debut Showcase to see details like mana cost, power, toughness, and abilities, but the frames show the names and color identities of each card.
