Share

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is officially coming to PlayStation 5 this summer, Ninja Theory announced today—marking the one-year anniversary of the game’s original release on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

In a new video message, studio head Dom Matthews shared the news and thanked fans for their continued support. He also confirmed that the PS5 version will include new features, which will be rolled out as a free update for Xbox and PC players at the same time.

This marks another big step for Ninja Theory, bringing Hellblade II to a broader audience—and especially to longtime fans on PlayStation who’ve followed the studio since the days of Heavenly Sword. The team says they’ve been working hard to optimize the game for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro.

What to Expect on PlayStation 5

The PS5 version of Hellblade II is being fully optimized for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, delivering stunning visuals, enhanced performance, and full support for DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to further immerse you in Senua’s world. You can expect:

  • Performance and Resolution Modes to suit your playstyle
  • Enhanced 3D audio support for deeper immersion
  • Haptic and adaptive trigger feedback tailored to the journey
  • Faster loading times thanks to PS5’s SSD
  • And much more, which we’ll reveal closer to launch

Updates Coming to All Platforms

Alongside the PlayStation release, we’ll also be rolling out a free update for Xbox Series X|S and PC players. This update includes the same performance improvements, visual enhancements, and some new accessibility options to make the game more inclusive for everyone.

We know how much this story has meant to our fans, and we’re committed to making sure every version of Hellblade II feels like the best it can be, no matter where you play.

We’ll be sharing more specific details—including the release date, technical specs, and more—in the coming weeks. Until then, thank you for being a part of this journey. We can’t wait to welcome even more of you into Senua’s world later this summer.
